Both marks are struck on the inside of the band. Sterling is the silver standard; JG is Juan Guerrero's mark.
ABOUT THE PIECE
The whole face of this cuff is stamped by hand, one strike at a time. Rows of diamonds, chevrons, fan bursts and scalloped rails run the full length of the band, framed by borders that follow the edge. At 27 mm wide there is room for three or four bands of pattern stacked one above the other, which is what gives these their density — there is no plain silver left anywhere on the front.
The finish is the other reason to look twice. Rather than a high polish, the silver is left matte, and the stamped recesses are oxidised dark. The pattern reads as shadow against soft grey rather than glare against mirror, so it stays legible across a room and does not show every fingerprint.
Juan Guerrero works with the Chimney Butte studio in New Mexico and does the stamping on their work. These cuffs are his own, struck with his own mark.

FIT
Measure your wrist where you wear a bracelet. This cuff is made for a 6.75 inch wrist as it comes.
There is some flex in the band, so it can be tightened or opened a little to suit you. Adjust it once, gently, with both hands on the terminals rather than by twisting — and then leave it. Sterling work-hardens each time it is bent, and repeated adjustment is what eventually cracks a cuff. One considered adjustment is fine; fiddling with it is not.
STYLING
Wide enough to carry a wrist on its own, plain enough at the edges to sit against other silver. The matte finish makes it an easy piece to wear every day.
